Juan Roman Riquelme believes Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos wouldn’t have as many chances to score in South America

Buenos Aires, Argentina – In an interview with Pasion por el Futbol in Argentina, Juan Roman Riquelme believes Sergio Ramos wouldn’t have as many scoring chances in South America. In this interview he also spoke about the situation with Argentina and Lionel Messi.

“Here in South America, players mark different, Sergio Ramos would not be allow to take those easy leaps. If Walter Samuel marks him, he wouldn’t score. I believe he wouldn’t do that with Diego Godin as well.”

The conversation surfaces from Ramos’ remarkable head scores against Real Betis to give his team a win on Sunday and two head scores against Napoli last Tuesday for Champions League. According to many, Real Madrid would be third in La Liga without Ramos’ goals. It is noted that his goals have come in the last-minutes of the games to give Real Madrid big wins.

Of course the topic of Messi was in the list of questions to which he said “Argentina without Messi is a normal team. But that is logical. He is the best player in the world. The same would be if you take Cristiano Ronaldo out of Real Madrid.”
