The rumored Seth Rollins vs Triple H match at WrestleMania 33 took quite the hit following Monday Night RAW.

It appeared as if Seth Rollins was finally going to get his hands on Triple H after months of calling out his former-mentor.

But before “The Architect” could get his hands on Triple H, who had just called out Rollins, he was blindsided by the debuting “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe at ringside.

At that moment fans began speculating what this meant for the potential Rollins vs Triple H match. The idea of Triple H vs Seth Rollins quickly morphed into the idea of Seth Rollins vs Samoa Joe following Joe’s assault of the former WWE Heavyweight Champion.

That speculation continued until the news broke that Rollins was injured during Joe’s assault at the end of Monday Night RAW.

Initially the reaction by many was that it was likely just to further the Triple H vs Seth Rollins feud. But those thoughts quickly turned into concerns for Rollins’ health after this Tweet:

On the other side of the injury, Samoa Joe Tweeted this:

Dave Meltzer, of the Wrestling Observer, has reported that the WWE fears that Rollins injured the Medial collateral ligament in his right knee, the same knee he had surgically repaired during the fall of 2015.

MCL injuries generally require a two to three month recovery time, so Rollins may still have an outside shot at making it back in time for WrestleMania, but as of right now it appears as if his status for the biggest show of the year is very much in doubt Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reports.
