Sevilla Tremoulinas Out For Season

La Liga

Benoit Tremoulinas

Seville, Spain – Sevilla left back Benoit Tremoulinas will miss the rest of the season, including the final of Europa League and Copa del Rey, with a torn knee meniscus on his left leg.

Tremoulinas will travel to France where he will be treated and operated by his personal doctor. He will be out for at least four weeks.

Added to this, the 30-year-old will likely will miss the Euro 2016, where he was mention as potential pairing with Patrice Evra or Lucas Digne.

With Tremoulinas out, Sevilla boss Unai Emery will likely have to use Sergio Escudero as his replacement, though Timothee “Kolo” Kolodziejczak could possibly take that spot as well.

Not only this is a huge blow for Sevilla, who have high hopes of winning the Europa League for second time in a row, but for France who has been plagued with injuries and off-the-field issues with several of its international players.

France will host the Euro 2016, and France Manager Didier Deschamps has a huge chip on his shoulder to win it all.

The list of injuries is piling up for all nations participating in this year’s edition of the Euro 2016, but several clubs are still fighting for local and continental championships, and that may be causing undue burden on most players.
