Sting Named 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Class

Stamford, CT – The WWE announced Monday afternoon that Sting had been named the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Game Class of 2016.

The announcement is a long time coming for Sting, and will be taking his rightful place in sports-intermittent history.

“We are truly honored to have Sting take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame,” said WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul Levesque (Triple H).  “His contributions to our industry are unprecedented, and we look forward to celebrating his incredible career with fans all over the world.”

The legendary icon finally accomplished his WrestleMania moment at WrestleMania 31 as he took on Triple H in a match that will be forever remember in the memory of those fans that always wanted to see a match between the Wolf Pack and DX.

The 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on the eve of WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas, at the American Airlines Center.

Congratulations Sting, well-deserved.
