The fall of a Bishop

The rise and fall of a Bishop.

In the Catholic church a Bishop is known as the overseer, a teacher and a leader. He is looked up to  fulfil his duties and ensure everything runs smoothly. What happens if the current Bishop can no longer fulfil his duties? The Priest has to step up and take over, and the former Bishop keeps getting pushed down the chain of command.

The 2014 draft class for the Tennessee Titans is one they might want to forget sooner rather than later, for the mere fact that the Titans passed up on running backs Jeremy Hill and Carlos Hyde. Both Hill and Hyde are starting running backs for their perspective teams. Sankey is now the 5th running back on the preseason depth chart.  The draft class consisted of 6 picks, with offensive tackle Taylor Lewan from Michigan being the first drafted. Running back Bishop Sankey out of Washington came in the second round; Round four, five, and six finished off with defensive tackle DaQuan Jones of Penn St, free safety Marqueston Huff of Wyoming inside linebacker,  Avery Williamson of Kentucky, and quarter back Zach Mettenberger of LSU.

Bishop Sankey rose to stardom his junior year at the University of Washington where he rushed for an impressive 1870 yards on 327 attempts (5.7 avg) for 20 touchdowns. Sankey’s NFL draft stock skyrocketed, after a stellar season and a Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl victory, Sankey decided to forgo his senior season and declare for the draft at age 21.  The sky was the limit for Sankey, he was drafted 54th overall in the 2014 NFL draft, and was awarded a four year contract. His rookie season he did not disappoint, rushing for 569 yards and 2 touchdowns. With hype all around him and his second season facing him head on, he did not back down. Game one of the 2015 season he rushed for a career high  74 yards and scored one touchdown.  Unfortunately for Sankey and Titans fans all around the world, that was the last good game we seen, and maybe will ever see from our beloved Bishop. Sankey went on to start only three games the entirety of the season. The titans are about to start the 2016 season, and Sankey in on his 3rd year of his contract, and is currently 5th string on the depth chart.

I believe we have seen the end of our Bishop.

There is a new priest and deacon in town; the priest goes by DaMarco Murray, and the young priest in training is Derrick Henry who is now our deacon.
