Tottenham Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be out of action with a hamstring injury

London, England – The Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris is likely to be out for four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the draw away to Everton this past weekend, the club confirmed.

“Following further assessment and scans of the left hamstring injury sustained by Hugo Lloris in the 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday, we can confirm he is expected to be out of action for around four weeks.”

Lloris left the field during the first half at Goodison Park after falling awkwardly into the corner of the net when he failed to keep out Ross Barkley’s opener.

Pochettino told Sky Sports: “It is his hamstring. We need to assess tomorrow and then we see what happen.

“His injury had an impact on us and they scored very early, and we did not play very well in the first half.”

Lloris played every game for France as they reached the European Championship final earlier in the summer, and only returned to pre-season training two weeks ago.
