TSJ 101 Training Camp Edition: New England Patriots’ Roster Projection

Roster decisions looming for Bill Belichick afd0980 via

As the September 3rd deadline for teams for trim their roster count from 75 players to 53 players rapidly approaches, players on the roster bubble have one last shot to prove they belong. While most roster spots have already been won or lost at this point, there is still some uncertainty at the bottom of most teams rosters.

The Patriots are certainly no exception. Most spots on their roster are truly an open competition, as the Patriots legitimately don’t care where/if players were drafted. The better player will always get the job, just ask Malcolm Butler.

This years final cuts are especially difficult to predict for the Patriots. The current team is completely loaded with talent, and could very well be the best roster top to bottom we’ve seen in the Bill Belichick era.
