Zlatan Ibrahimovic Agrees To Personal Terms With Manchester United

Manchester, England – Sweden International Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed to provisional terms with Manchester United and will close the deal after Sweden ends its participation in Euro 2016.

The 34-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford since Jose Mourinho took over this off-season.

The PSG star is set to become a free agent in two weeks but contract negotiations took longer than expected between Manchester United and Zlatan’s representatives.

The Portuguese gave his approval to the signing then, and both manager and player were enthused by the idea of working with each other again after winning the Italian title together at Inter Milan in 2008-09.

Sky Sports News report there are not expected to be any problems with the medical – as long as Ibrahimovic is not injured whilst on international duty. The 34-year-old is understood to be in excellent physical condition, and the process is expected to be a formality.

Ibrahimovic won his 114th cap for Sweden in Monday’s 1-1 draw against the Republic of Ireland at the Stade de France in Paris.

The striker has played for several well-known clubs in Europe, Ajax, Juventus, Internazionale, Barcelona, Milan and Paris Saint-Germain but have never played in the Premier League.

He has also scored 392 career goals in 677 appearances, while capping 114 matches with 62 goals with Sweden. He has one the league title in each of the leagues and clubs he has been with since his starting professional days.
