Zlatan Ibrahimovic Three Match Ban, Mings To Appeal

Zlatan Ibrahimovic three match ban by FA accepted by the striker

Manchester, England – Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been given a three match ban for his elbow to Tyrone Mings. The incident happened on Saturday during a game between United and Bournemouth.

The scuffle involved an elbow from Ibrahimovic and a stamp from Mings.

Mings claims that the stamp wasn’t intentional and according to Sky Sports his club Bournemouth will support him. Bournemouth must inform the FA of their decision before 6PM Tuesday.

Ibrahimovic will accept the ban and will start an immediate three match domestic suspension. This means he misses United’s encounter with Chelsea in the FA CUP quarter final on Monday, as well as games against Middlesbrough and West Brom in the league.

Ibrahimovic will be a massive miss for the game against Chelsea especially having scored 26 goals already this season. Marcus Rashford may be given his chance to shine for the three games his Swedish team mate is banned.

If Mings and Bournemouth lose out on the appeal the ban could be lengthened significantly.
