Brie Bella Gives Birth to Birdie Joe Danielson

Finally, after a long and tedious wait, Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan are welcoming their daughter, Birdie Joe, into the world.

According to, Brie gave birth on May 9th, at 11:58 PM. The only photo so far released has been of little Birdie’s foot. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and 21 inches long. Brie’s due date was April 30.

“There is no better feeling in the world than meeting your daughter,” Brie said in a statement. “I can’t even express the overwhelming joy and love that Bryan and I are feeling. Now we know what parents mean about the love you feel when you first meet your child. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on the safety of Birdie coming into this world.”

Brie Bella stepped away from the ring after last year’s Wrestlemania, instead focusing on becoming a mother. Her journey to motherhood has been well-documented by the E! hit TV shows, Total Divas and Total Bellas. Brie and Bryan also announced the pregnancy in October 2016, and the second season of Total Bellas will feature the pregnancy. Brie has also been chronicling her experiences on her shared YouTube channel with her twin sister, Nikki.

Although Daniel Bryan still acts as a General Manager in the WWE, he hasn’t appeared much lately as his wife’s due date drew closer.

What’s in a Name?

Brie also revealed the thought process behind their daughter’s unique name. In an interview with Fit Pregnancy magazine, she stated: “Joe, her middle name, is after my grandfather-his name was Joseph, and he meant the world to me,”… “Birdie is because my husband and his whole family are ‘B’s. And he married me, a ‘B’ too, so his one request was that our kids have ‘B’ names. I didn’t realize how hard it was to find girl ‘B’ names, but we both came across Birdie and knew that was it!”

Everyone at TSJ Sports congratulates Brie and Bryan as they continue their journey into parenthood.
