Davey Boy Smith Jr. Commits Act of Heroism

Pro wrestler, Harry Francis Smith a.k.a. Davey Boy Smith Jr. states his years of grappling experience led to an act of heroism.

He saved a woman from performing a suicidal jump off a bridge.

The incident occurred on October 22nd in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

On social media, Smith states that he was driving up 16th Avenue, past Bowness Road before witnessing a distraught woman hanging from a bridge. She threatened to jump onto the highway if Smith got any closer.

However, Smith notes he knew how to successfully pull her up from hanging,

Luckily my years of grappling and self defense; I knew how to grab her hard and how to pull her up from hanging off and jumping.

Smith would then perform the mounting position onto the woman who said she had a gun as Smith reportedly told her,

Miss, you’re not going to move unless I want you to, I’m an expert grappler and your not going to shoot me. We will get you help. Life is a precious thing and I’m here to help, to help you.

Smith then states the Calgary police arrived to handcuff her and take her away from the site,

They cuffed her and have [had] her under arrest to get the help which she greatly needs. It’s a very scary site off the bridge but I’m really glad I saved a life. Life is a precious thing, folks. Never take it for granted. I’m glad I was at service to help somebody today and my years of grappling came into play. I really believe if I wasn’t there and been able to grab her, she would have jumped.

After the occurrence…

Davey Smith Jr. would then post his report about the incident on Twitter and Facebook.
