Chris Jericho v. Kenny Omega Feud Heats Up

Well, if things weren’t crazy enough already, then Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega just pushed the envelope. In the days and weeks leading up to their huge clash at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 12; shots have been fired by both “The Alpha” Jericho, as well as “The Omega”.

Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) had just secured a victory over the rival Chaos trio of Roppongi 3K and their mentor Rocky Romero. As Omega, the IWGP United States Champion would hit his signature pose, the lights would soon go out.

When they came back on, Jericho was standing behind Omega, who would turn around and get a Codebreaker for his troubles. Jericho would proceed to attack the champ, clocking him with the US Title, and busting him open. He would then attack the referee, as well as a couple of NJPW “young boys” (students).

It wouldn’t be until The Bucks ran in with a bat, that Jericho would stop the assault, but only moments after attacking a mutual friend of both he and Omega’s. Don Callis ran into the ring to check on Omega, as Jericho was being led out. Jericho would run back in and attack Callis with a Codebreaker.

Jericho took to his Instagram to mock the champ, wearing Omega’s blood as a mask. Needless to say, Omega didn’t take that lightly, as the next night, during the WK12 news conference, he would retaliate.

This is now a blood feud

Jericho proclaimed that January 4th, 2018, at the Tokyo Dome, would be Omega’s last match in New Japan. A bold claim, but one that Jericho could possibly back up. However, Kenny Omega has faced tough challenges before, but, how will he fare against someone the caliber of Chris Jericho?

We will all have to find out on January 4th.
