The Curious Case of Enzo Amore’s Release: Did He or Didn’t He?

Well, we’ve seen that the WWE has gone ahead and let go of Enzo Amore following his recent rape allegations. Now, when the story originally broke, it looked to be pretty damning evidence. Given Enzo’s messy past with the company and with his personal life, many fans and WWE management were quick to dismiss the former Cruiserweight champion.

But, as the story plays out, things may not be as they seem. For one, many people were outraged that he was suspended, then immediately released. This is shocking, since the investigation has not been concluded.

Perhaps the reason that the WWE chose to go this route, however, was because Enzo wasn’t honest about the allegations. It looks like he neglected to inform the management of the issues he was facing. In turn, the company found out about his misconduct via the internet. There are reports that Amore showed up for RAW 25 following the leak of his rape allegations. In spite of these very serious accusations, Enzo chose to wear a t-shirt that said “Today is the best day of my life, tomorrow will be better.” Apparently, Vince McMahon himself saw Enzo displaying the regular cocky attitude, immediately telling him to leave.

A Former Friend of Philomena Claims She’s Lying

Recently, a former friend of Zo’s accuser posted “proof” that Philomena Sheahan is lying about this. You can be the judge of that:

Ashley Sweetly’s Take:

Man, I just don’t know on this one. Last year, I paid close attention to Enzo’s stripper issues and kept tabs on it. It’s tough, because I am one of the few who love(d) Enzo Amore. Unfortunately, I very much believed the stripper’s claims. Enzo is every bit the character that he plays in real life.

I hate to say that I would actually not be shocked if this turns out to be true, given all Enzo’s past problems.  On the other hand, this Philomena person does not sound credible at all. From the surface, it looks like she was looking to be on television. Yet, if this is true, it’s shameful for the speculation that she is a liar. After all, it’s hard to judge here, given the severity of the crime.

If this turns out to be false, I hope she does perish to the fullest extent of the law, because so many women are sexual assault and rape survivors.

What do you guys think? Did he, or didn’t he?
