EVOLVE’s Gabe Sapolsky to Work as a Creative Consultant for NXT TakeOver: WarGames

As we all get ready for NXT TakeOver: WarGames this weekend and the return of the highly anticipated WarGames match, it is reported by PWInsider that Gabe Sapolsky of Evolve will act as a creative consultant for the pay-per-view on Saturday, November 18.

Sapolsky, a promoter and creative writer for a number of promotions within WWN, has been helping NXT in the past months. There is also speculation that eventually he will become full-time with WWE.

Back in August, current NXT champion Drew McIntyre also commented on the rumors of Sapolsky helping out backstage. McIntyre shared this information during his appearance on Sean Waltman’s podcast.

McIntyre praised the creative writer for the work and help he has been able to give to NXT.

Yet, McIntyre hasn’t been the only notable WWE superstar to comment on Sapolsky’s work for the company. The Cerebral Assassin, Triple H, has also commented on Sapolsky. Triple H, who also admired Sapolsky’s work with NXT, didn’t state if Sapolsky is signing with NXT full-time.

In a recent interview, Sapolsky denied the previous claims that he is joining NXT.

In the interview, he thanked those that he has worked with in NXT. He stated that his time there is helping him become better at his craft and can improve at what he does.  In the interview, Gable claims that he is working with NXT to become a better creative writer. Stating that he takes what he learns there, he says he will try to improve other promotions within WWN including EVOLVE, Dragon Gate USA, and FIP.

NXT TakeOver: WarGames will feature title matches for the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship. The event will also feature the return of WCW’s WarGames match. The pay-per-view will be airing live on the WWE Network.
