Asian Wrestlers

Asian Wrestlers, Seven Wrestlers from China, are being signed a developmental contracts; to train in the WWE Performance Center. But only three makes to NXT, among them –
1.Tian Bing, 2. Zhao Xia (Xia Li), 3.Big Boa

Let’s Look into History of Asian Wrestlers in WWE…

WWE hasn’t always been a great place for Asian superstars. No matter how established someone is across the globe, when he finally lands up in WWE, it’s a whole different story altogether.
Despite WWE being some sort of bad luck for the Asians; it hasn’t held them back from making it to the biggest wrestling promotion in the world.

Here are some of the popular names in WWE:

10. Hakushi (Had a Famous Feud with Bret Hart back in 1995)
9. Taka Michinoku and Funaki (former WWE Light Heavyweight Champions respectively).
8. Mr. Fuji (a great success as a wrestler and a manager).
7. Gail Kim (former WWE Women’s champion).
6. Jinder Mahal (Current SDLive Heavyweight Champion)
5. Kairi Sane (Mae Young Classic Winner).
4. Kenta (Outside the WWE, he is a legend).
3. Shinsuke Nakamura (former NXT Champion).
2. Asuka (longest-reigning NXT women’s champion in WWE history).
1. Tajiri (one of the greatest cruiserweight champions, holds both WCW and WWE, and hands down one of the best Asian superstars that wrestled in WWE).

Might Sound Racist But Its True…

Back in the days; Asian wrestlers are only given mediocre theme songs, and they are only pushed as a jobber or a mid-card level, but now we see them pushed into main event matches. And their theme songs are getting much better and better.

Creative Team Scratches Their Heads…

But I know the creative always scratches their heads; how to present Asian wrestlers that they signed to the WWE Umbrella.

Asian Wrestlers needs a Gimmick…

WWE Universe knows Vince Mcmahon signed a few Wrestlers from China to the company. The creative team still won’t have any clue how to present them to the fans.

There is a saying:

“When You Are Good At Something, Never Give It For FREE”

But in this case, I will…so pay attention WWE Creative!

Journey to the West Gimmick…

A very popular Chinese novel published in the 16th century during the Ming dynasty. It is a story about a Monk, provided with three protectors who agree to help him as atonement for their sins. These disciples are Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing, together with a dragon prince who acts as The Monk’s steed, a white horse.

Who’s who!?

1. Cheng Yuxiang as the Monk.
2. Big Boa or Tian Bing as White Horse (Dragon Prince)
3. Yi Feng as Wukong (the monkey king)
4. Gao Lei as Bajie (the Pig)
5. Gu Guangming as Wujing (water buffalo).

There you have it, a huge Asian Stable for NXT/WWE.
