Natalya Shuts Down Rumors of her Retirement

There are a huge amount of Superstars who are considered “second generation” superstars. Of course, that means one of their family members wrestled for the WWE. Now, these men and women are stepping into the ring to continue their family’s legacies.

Second generation stars include Charlotte Flair, Randy Orton, and the Usos. However, let’s focus on one particular female superstar. This woman just so happens to be a third generation superstar. She’s known as the “Queen of Harts”, Natalya.

Who is Natalya?

Natalie Neidhart was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Neidhart happens to be the first-ever third generation female. She was trained in the Hart Family Dungeon. She is a former Divas champion and Women’s champion.

Retirement talk?

For everyone who watched Clash of Champions this past Sunday, we watched Natalya take on Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

However, Nattie was unsuccessful in her attempt to recapture the title from Charlotte. In an interview following her loss, Nattie stated she was done with the WWE Universe because they turned their backs on her. She also said, “Now I am going to turn my back on you.” The former champion exited the ring and was crying.

Like always, rumors started. People talked about how Charlotte Flair retired the Queen of Harts. This was not the case.  Natalya was very direct about the rumors:

“Not true on any level.”

Writer’s Thoughts

So, Natalya is not retiring anytime soon. She has always been one of my favorites. I admit that I panicked hearing the rumors, especially because Natalya and Beth Phoenix are two of my all-time favorites.

I definitely cried during Natalya’s speech when she inducted Beth into the WWE’s Hall of Fame.

It’s an interesting thought, regardless: I know that she can’t keep fighting forever. Even still, her retirement will be a sad day for me. In the long run, I will continue showing support for her and her career.

What do you think is in the future for Natalya? Do you think she’s due to retire soon, despite denying the rumors? Feel free to comment below, and let us know what you think.
