Ronda Rousey to End Asuka’s Streak

On the January 28th, 2018, history was made at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view for WWE. It’s one the biggest pay-per-views, right next to SummerSlam and Wrestlemania. We saw Asuka, “The Empress of Tomorrow”, win the first ever Woman’s Royal Rumble match. However, eyes turned away from her quickly when the “Bad Reputation” song started echoing through the arena. For those who don’t know what that means, that is the entrance theme for Ronda Rousey.

She used it for her UFC run and brought that song with her to the WWE. She made it down to the ring, and then pointed to the Wrestlemania sign! So, what could that mean?

Rousey pointing to the Wrestlemania sign could actually mean many things. Asuka will not make her choice on who she plans to face on the “Grandest Stage of Them All” until after the Elimination Chamber.

At the first-ever women’s Elimination Chamber match, current Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will defend her title in the chamber against five others.

After the pay-per-view, there is belief that it will be Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania. Meanwhile, Asuka will eventually decide to take on the Smackdown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair.

Rousey, however, has no set match at Mania. At least, not yet….

Streak Must End = Ronda Rousey

There is no set date as to when it will happen, but Asuka’s undefeated streak will come to an end. WWE is setting up Ronda Rousey to end the streak of Asuka. Over the past few mouths, Asuka has been using an armbar finisher.

It’s all been to get her prepared for Rousey, who happens to be an armbar master. Asuka always says, “Nobody is ready for Asuka.” The question she needs to be asking herself, though, is:  “Am I ready for Ronda Rousey?“

When do you think it’s finally going to happen? Do you think Asuka is ready for Ronda?
