Possible Ronda Rousey WWE Debut: When and Where?

For a long time, Ronda Rousey has been rumored to be interested in transitioning to the WWE. Ever since she made an appearance at Wrestlemania 31, when she was pulled out of the crowd by the Rock for the showdown with the Authority, rumors flew. How could switch from MMA to the world of professional wrestling? Was she heading down that road?

Who is Ronda Rousey?

Rousey admits she’s a huge WWE fan. In fact, she was given her nickname Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey by Hall of Famer Roddy Piper. She also made it clear after she tossed Triple H out of the ring that she wasn’t finished with professional wrestling.

Ronda was still the undefeated UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and one of the biggest stars in the sports industry during WM 31.

Her undefeated streak came to an end in the octagon when she lost to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. Although she had no plans to fight again, the wheels are turning on a possible Wrestlemania 34 mega-match with some of the biggest WWE female superstars.

WWE Future for Ronda

The future could be bright for the former MMA fighter. It has already been set in stone, as there is a Rousey-led WWE storyline. She has recently started training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

The storyline will have Ronda battling with the WWE’s Four Horsewomen: Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch. Ronda will be toeing up with the WWE’s finest along with her very own sport’s “Horsewomen”: Shayna Bazzler, Jessamya Duke, and Marina Shafir.

However, during the summer, WWE staged the first ever Mae Young Classic, a wrestling tournament. That included 32 of the best up and coming female wrestlers around the world.

Bazzler, who is now a full-time wrestler signed to the WWE, made it all the way to the finals. She ultimately lost to the Japanese sensation, Kairi Sane. Rousey, Duke, and Shafir were also there. They made minor small talk with WWE stars. Rousey stood up to Charlotte Flair and said:

“You name the time, you name the place.”

When can we expect Ronda Rousey in the WWE?

Everything is planned to point towards a Ronda Rousey debut at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans.  In addition to adding her to the WWE,  this will indeed be one of the biggest events for WWE ever.  To advance the storyline, we could maybe see a surprise visit by Ronda at Survivor Series;  Although it would be more likely to be at Royal Rumble.
