Former and Current WWE Superstars Get Into the Wine Business

Is Wine Integrating with Wrestling?

It has been well-known that professional wrestling doesn’t often associate with the wine business. Especially given most companies gear towards PG.

However, former WWE Superstar and the current ROH World Champion Cody Rhodes, is about to change that.

Rhodes is partnering up with Arrow star Stephen Amell in his “Nocking Point” line. Rhodes thinks that perhaps wrestlers should be connected to wine. He even stated that Andre the Giant could drink a whole cask of wine, and it wouldn’t phase him. Cody revels in the idea of sampling and tasting. He has helped by crafting two of his own selections.

How did this all happen with wine?

Once again, Cody has joined forces with Stephen Amell from Arrow. Rhodes and Amell began to develop a bond in the building of their SummerSlam match in 2015. Cody replies with:

“Stephen is one of the hardest workers I have encountered. We were talking…a Vince McMahon-level drive.”

After their SummerSlam match-up and a few guest appearances on Arrow, they created a mutual respect for one another’s work ethics.  They ended up with a really cool friendship.

Amell create the “Nocking Point” Wine Club in 2012, with his business partner Andrew Harding. They have over 6,000 current members throughout the United States, Canada and United Kingdom.

Amell brought Cody into the mix because he shares the same spirit. Therefore, it is the reason they wanted to partner with him.

Amell Replies with:

“I first met Cody in 2015, when I was a guest of the WWE during a Monday Night Raw, while I was [working on] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Cody told me to sit a ringside. He informed that he got permission from Vince McMahon to hiss at me.”

What are Cody’s reasons  for his selections?

Rhodes has been collaborating with Amell’s “Nocking Point” to create new wines, both with a significant connection to the wrestling industry.

The first wine, “Dream” is a sparkling white wine decorated to the memory of his father the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. The second one is blood-red. It’s named “Nightmare,” which captures Rhodes’ current attire and motivation to succeed.

So, where can you get the wines, you ask? You can simply go to and order a membership. Then, you receive a case three times a year; in which will include both of Cody’s wines and four others. Additionally, you will receive comics, coffee, and assorted gear from “Nocking Point.”

Stephen Amell believes that Cody’s fans are going to dig his new wine. With all this wine talk in the WWE, however, it doesn’t stop there.

It turns out there are two other WWE superstars that are involved with the wining process as well.

Who? None other than The Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie. They recently teamed up with a few other people unrelated to the WWE to make this long-time dream happen.

It’s a Napa Valley Wine called “BelleRadici,” which means “Beauitful Roots” in Italian. The wine has yet to be released to the public, but will available on the website for purchase on September 19.

So, if you’re looking to try the Bella Twin wine, you can go to their website at and purchase it on the 19th of this month.

“You can look but you can’t touch”…at least, not until it’s available!

Author’s Take

I believe Stephen and Cody will do great things with “Nocking Point.” The Bellas will do great things with their line as well. Just maybe I will get the chance to try them!

What do you think will happen? Will there be more WWE stars into the wine business soon? Feel free to express your thoughts and comments below!
