WWE to hold Dual-Brand Money in the Bank Ladder matches this year.

WWE Money in the Bank

Money in the Bank

Money in the Bank debuted at Wrestlemania 21 in 2005, but after holding the match at five Wrestlemania events, it spun-off on its own Pay-Per-View in 2010. The last Pay-Per-View was held in 2017 exclusively for Team Blue, and Baron Corbin won the match. Meanwhile, Carmella won the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. Corbin went on to unsuccessfully cash-in his contract, while Carmella has yet to cash-in her briefcase.

This Year MITB will be at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on June 17, and tickets go on-sale this Friday at 10 a.m. CT at

According to Allstate Arena’s official website,

There will be both Men’s and Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, that features both Raw and Smackdown superstars. The Allstate Arena also advertised eight male superstars and eight female superstars for the event.

Advertised Superstars for the event:

Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, WWE Champion Aj Styles, Randy Orton, U.S Champion Bobby Roode, and Shinsuke Nakamura. And the female superstars: Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Nia Jax, Natalya, Lana, Naomi and Becky Lynch.

This comes after WWE announced last month about the return of dual-brand pay-per-view events.

Writer’s take on the PPV:

So who is going to be the Mr. MITB and Ms. MITB? I for one think that it’s going to be Jeff Hardy and Nia Jax. Brother Nero is now clear to return so it’s most likely WWE will let him have a single run, with Woken Matt drafted to Smackdown Live. And for Nia, after losing to Asuka for more than 3 times, I think she deserves to be called Ms. MITB. Nia winning the briefcase and trying to cash-in on Asuka as a sweet revenge, and a good way to end her streak.
