WWE Extends Partnership with Foxtel

SYDNEY & STAMFORD, Conn. – The WWE have agreed with Foxtel to extend their partnership into its 18th year, with a new agreement to broadcast WWE programming.

Australian based Foxtel will broadcast live showings of RAW and SmackDown Live; also, they will show WWE pay-per-views as well, including WrestleMania and SummerSlam.

Foxtel, which is one of Australia’s largest media companies, looks to distribute WWE programming over multiple platforms; including their Foxtel App, which is available on tablets and mobile devices, as well as their internet TV service, Foxtel Now.

In speaking about the partnership, WWE Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer Michelle Wilson had this to say:

“Foxtel is a long-time, valued partner who shares our vision and passion for engaging and entertaining our fans. This agreement allows us to continue showcasing our unique blend of action-packed, family friendly entertainment across Australia.”

Foxtel’s Director of Channels, Stephen Baldwin, also chimed in on the long-standing partnership, saying:

“We are thrilled to extend our long-standing partnership with one of the biggest brands in entertainment. WWE has such a passionate fan base in Australia, and Foxtel is pleased to bring this popular content to our customers.”

Foxtel channel FOX8 televises live broadcasts of RAW, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday mornings; and SmackDown Live at 10 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. Fans can also order WWE specials live, via the Foxtel pay-per-view channel, Main Event.

Events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble will all be available on demand.
