WWE News: The Reason Nia Jax is being Replaced by Mickie James

Nia Jax, a cousin of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is referred to as a female version of Andre the Giant by the owner of WWE, Vince McMahon. She once walked out on WWE, after being unhappy with the plan for her to lose clean to Sasha Banks at WWE’s TLC pay-per-view.

Why is she getting replaced?

Kurt Angle made an announcement to all of the female competitors that there would be a first-ever women’s Elimination Chamber match. However, “The Irresistible Force” isn’t in it. It seems that the original plan actually was to have her in the match. After all, she has been off to a hot start in 2018. It would make sense to have her in the history-making match.

However, Jax missed the cut. She’s now the woman to face Asuka at the event instead, but for several good reasons. According to the Wrestling Observer, if she wins, then she will earn the right to face the RAW Women’s Champion to WrestleMania 34.

But here’s where things get interesting…

Per The Observer, WWE plans to have Jax face Bliss one-on-one in New Orleans for the RAW belt.

Spoiler alert: One, it sounds like Alexa Bliss will retain her championship at Elimination Chamber. Two, this means Asuka will be exercising her right as Royal Rumble winner. Instead of Bliss, she will likely choose Smackdown Live Women’s Champion, Charlotte, as her WrestleMania target.

For Jax and Bliss, WrestleMania would mark the culmination of a long-term build. Even though WWE has abandoned their conflict on several occasions, the beef between them dates back to this past fall. The rivalry will turn out to be an entertaining match for the fans to watch.

Thankfully, the romantic role with Enzo stopped, which was preventing her to continue to compete in the Women’s Division.
