War Machine

War Machine, Todd “War Beard Hanson” Smith & Raymond Rowe, terrorize the independent tag-team division; like Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling for years. They made their farewell NJPW appearance less than two weeks ago at New Year Dash. announces that the WWE Performance Center is proud to welcome Monster Duo, to start their journey in the WWE. The announcement referred to them under their “War Machine” name; so one has to wonder if that means they will keep the title in the WWE. They are referred to as “one of the planet’s most ferocious and intimidating tag teams,” by

Former ROH Tag Team Champions are currently going through medical testing to be signed by WWE, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Which brand will they debut first?

No word yet on when Hanson and Rowe may debut for WWE but word is that they will be working the NXT brand, setting up another potential showdown with Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish.

If all goes well with the WWE medical tests; we could see the former ROH & IWGP Tag Team Champions in NXT before WrestleMania 34 Season gets going.

Their History,

They were with the WWE once before, featuring on an episode of the discontinued Smackdown’s Velocity in 2005.

The duo – whose combined weight exceeding over 550 pounds, is trained by Killer Kowalski, and are active competitors since 2001. The team uses a unique combination of power, speed, strength, agility, acrobatics, and toughness. And they quickly acquire a reputation for being one of the industry’s most fresh and exciting double acts.

Together, they have won championships in the United States, England, and Japan, including the prestigious IWGP Tag Team Titles, the same championship held by Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows.

War Machine: How WWE creative team should push them…

Hanson and Raymond Rowe are a pair of hosses in the same mold as the current SmackDown team “The Bludgeon Brothers”. If WWE decides to move them to Smackdown Live, WWE needs to send Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to Raw, and let Wyatt Family reunite. And Bray Wyatt is losing the Great War with Woken Matt Hardy, so it’s a good chance for them go to Raw; like they are being called “for help” by Bray Wyatt. I personally think that that’s the right way, and Rusev can join forces with them and have a feud with the New Day.
