X-Pac Loses Relative In Florida School Shooting

America witnessed yet another senseless tragedy on Wednesday, as Parkland, Florida saw another school shooting. And of the 17 victims who’ve lost their lives, former WWE Superstar Sean “X-Pac” Waltman lost a relative in the massacre.

Waltman tweeted that 14-year old Gina Montalto, one of the 17 victims who was killed on Wednesday, was related to him.

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel informed the media; during a news conference that 17 people died after Wednesday’s shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School:

“I’m saddened to say that 17 people lost their lives.”

It was reported that 12 people died inside of the school, two died outside the school and one on the road by the school. Two more were after being taken to the hospital. A report by WSVN said that no families have yet been notified, nor have victims been identified. (The names of the victims have since been identified.)

12 More Victims…

According to WSVN, 12 more victims are currently being treated for injuries related to the mass shooting, which is considered one of the deadliest in U.S. History.

19-year old Nikolaus Cruz used an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle during the assault. He was later arrested at a townhouse in Pelican Pointe, at Wyndham Lakes in Coral Springs, Florida. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, before being taken to the Broward County Sheriff’s office.

Cruz Was Not Allowed On Campus With a Backpack…

Cruz was expelled from the school after reportedly threatening students last spring. The Sheriff had confirmed that Cruz was asked to leave due to “disciplinary issues”. In fact, he wasn’t allowed on school grounds with a backpack, due to the possibility of him carrying a weapon into school.

Math teacher Jim Gard told The Miami Harold:

“We were told last year that he wasn’t allowed on campus with a backpack on him. There were problems with him last year threatening students, and I guess he was asked to leave campus.”

Two Instagram accounts that apparently belonged to Cruz had posts of questionable content; photos of guns, knives and other weapons were shared on the account over the recent months.

Sean Waltman, who has wrestled under the names of 1-2-3 Kid, Lightning Kid, Syxx and X-Pac still wrestles in the Indies. As to whether the WWE has reached out to X-Pac or his family has not been made clear. However, we here at TSJ101 would like to extend our deepest condolences to him, his family, and the families of those hurt in the tragedy.
